Also, what is the societal reaction--when is a person considered a slut, or indecent? When is it relatively appropriate? Some articles I've read regarding LGBT rights in the country specifically say homosexuality is not illegal per se when in private.
Though, I am not a homosexual, but feel free to comment, it may help others! However, I read in the Jordan travel wiki that adultery which includes consenting, premarital sex is illegal and punishable by up to 3 years in prison, but this is not sourced.
Also, when reading the fantastic blog, Black-Iris, it seems while, perhaps, frowned upon in certain situations or done to excess, premarital sex is not illegal, at least he doesn't mention legality which I would think would have been relevant enough to note in some of his articles.
I've lived in Amman for over 6 years now, and would suggest you go with what feels comfortable to you. Guys your age will be looking for marriage and a visa to your country, especially if it is the US or UK, so take any declarations of love with a grain of salt.
