As much as I loved Krakow , I found the constant invitations to strip clubs whenever you walked towards the old market square to be a source of constant irritation. I don't think that I look like the sort of person that wants to visit a strip club at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, or at any time for that matter.
Whilst there is no aggression involved, I do not want people walking in front of me so that they can force their unwanted "business cards" into my hand. After a couple of days, you learn to spot them and take appropriate evasive action and I took to regarding it as local flavour!
However, the powers that be should learn that other Cities that have tried to promote themselves as a destination for "laddish" behaviour have soon come to regret it! I'm pretty sure the city doesn't try to promote itself this way, but as long as the business is good, some clubs will keep on doing it.
