Let me begin by agreeing with many other the rooms in Royal and Coral Towers are awful. The prices are ridiculous for what you are getting.
They either update or lower their prices and certainly not charge what they charge while they're updating. I had a problem in my room where there was no cold water. Only scorching hot water. I explained that I was meeting my family for dinner and needed to shower in a hurry. Needless to say I didn't make it to dinner and ended up having a sandwich at our yacht in the marina at 11pm. You would think they would be apologetic and accommodating, however that was not the case.
In fact, I found in general that the staff was rude and unfriendly as a whole. Not your typical Bahamian friendliness.
I spend a lot of time in several islands and the Bahamian people are alway friendly and this was not the case here. Finally, when you think Atlantis you think of a family resort, right. Well let me tell you the prostitutes are everywhere. They were at the cove pool, the casino, the bars, elevators,anywhere you look.
They dress nice and try to be incognito however it is clear what's going on. Everyone is aware that this is happening even the hotel staff and police. It's simply ignored I guess. I was also offered drugs by the I was also offered drugs by the elevator and in the drive way. It's sad that such a great place has deteriorated to the point of drugs and prostitution. Not to mention the price they ask for the quality you are receiving. Hi Devarona13, We are disappointed to hear that your vacation experience was not up to Atlantis standards.
